BBMP floats new tender for ₹144-cr to complete Ejipura flyover construction
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has issued a tender worth ₹144 crore to complete the construction of the Ejipura flyover, which has missed several deadlines. The Karnataka government cancelled a previous tender awarded to Simplex Infrastructure for the construction of the 2.5 km long flyover between Ejipura Main Road and Kendriya Sadan in Koramangala, following a high court direction. A new contractor will be engaged to complete the remaining work, as per the direction of the urban development department which had last year directed the BBMP to float a fresh tender due to the delay in completing the flyover work and resulting road mishaps caused by construction debris being dumped below the flyover.
