Adding to its project portfolio in the rail sector of the country, RITES has recently managed to secure an additional work of ₹294.67 crore from Ministry of Railways for doubling of Dharmavaram Penukunda rail track lines (41.5 Kms) in South Western Railways, said official sources elaborating that prior to this, RITES was awarded doubling of similar work contract for 90.2 km rail line stretch of Dharmavaram Penukunda in South Central Railways entailing an investment worth ₹666.38 crore from ministry of railways. In the aforesaid contract, the company has been awarded the work on cost plus basis in which RITES will be paid fee at the rate of 8.5% of the total cost of work involved, the spokesperson added.
