RInfra in JV inks ₹7,000-cr MoU for sea link project
To fast-track the Versova-Bandra Sea Link project in Mumbai, Reliance Infrastructure in a joint venture with Astaldi SpA (Italy) Consortium has signed an agreement with Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) for the construction of ₹7,000-crore project. Reliance Infrastructure-Astaldi had earlier bagged the mega project on an EPC contract with their bid of ₹6,993.99 crore. Others bidders in the fray included L&T-Samsung and Hyundai Development Company-ITD. Commanding a length of 17.17 km, the Sea Link venture is three times longer than the existing Bandra-Worli Sea Link, which is 5.6 km. CEO, RInfra, EPC, Arun Gupta said that the project will further propel Reliance Infrastructure as a premier EPC player in India and that the partnership with Astaldi S.p.A, the third biggest construction player in the world in bridges, will help the company to create a world-class mega infrastructure project for the metropolitan city.
