In a recent development in the road and highway sector, Reliance Infrastructure (Rlnfra) has bagged two road projects involving an investment of Rs.1,881 crore from the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). For the projects in question, the company has received Letters of Award (LOA) stating that they are to be executed on EPC model and are awarded under the National Highway Development Program NHDP Phase-V financed by NHAI. The scope of work in the projects include six-laning of 69.5 km stretch of Aurangabad to Bihar-Jharkhand border section of NH-2 with a project cost of Rs.882 crore, and the adjoining 71.3 km stretch of the Bihar-Jharkhand border to Gorhar section of NH-2 in Jharkhand for Rs.999 crore. In addition, work also includes design, engineering, procurement and construction of six-lane highway and associated bridges with paved shoulders and they are slated to be commissioned in 24 and 30 months from the appointed date, respectively.
