In order to fast track a rail project in Bihar, the state road construction department recently handed over ₹221 crore for the construction of the R-Block-Digha rail-line stretch. The Bihar State Road Development Corporation (BSRDC), which will build a four-lane road on the stretch, is readying the concept report of the new project BSRDC managing director, Sanjay Kumar Agarwal said, reiterating that the district administration has been asked to remove the encroachments from the railway line and it has also submitted its survey report to the BSRDC. In this connection, a concept report has already been prepared and now the BSRDC will make the detailed project report in which the actual cost of constructing of the four-lane road will be revealed and paving the way for floating tenders, he said.
