Rail Vikas Nigam Wins Rs 272 Cr Central Railway Electrification Project

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a Central Railway project worth Rs 272 crore, including taxes. The project is to be completed within 24 months.

The scope of work includes the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 220/132/55 KV traction substation, sectioning posts (SPs) and sub-sectioning posts (SSPs) for the Daund–Solapur section. The system will operate on a 2x25 KV traction system using Scott-connected transformers and is designed to support a 3,000 MT loading target. The contract will be executed on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) mode.
