PM unveils ₹990-cr infra project in Gujarat

The PM, during his recent visit to Gujarat, laid the foundation stones for various infrastructure projects entailing a combined investment of ₹990 crore. The projects include roads and allied infrastructure in the Surat smart city, at a cost of ₹636 crore, and construction of a 25500 sq.m terminal building at Surat airport at a cost of ₹354 crore. Once operational, it will increase the airport's passenger handling capacity from the current 4 lakh to 26 lakh per annum, and will have eco-friendly and sustainable features such as solar energy and LEDs.
