PM Modi Unveils ₹46,000 Cr Infrastructure Projects in J&K

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has announced infrastructure projects worth ₹46,000 crore to boost connectivity in Jammu & Kashmir, marking a major milestone in the region’s development.
Ahead of his visit, the Chief Minister of J&K reviewed preparations at the iconic Chenab Bridge — the world’s tallest railway bridge. PM Modi highlighted the Chenab Bridge and the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project as transformative initiatives that will provide all-weather connectivity between Jammu and Srinagar.
He also noted that the introduction of Vande Bharat trains between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar will enhance spiritual tourism and generate employment. The Anji Bridge, India’s first cable-stayed rail bridge, is another key achievement in the region’s challenging terrain.
