PM Modi to Lay Foundation for Infrastructure Projects in Varanasi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate 23 completed projects worth ₹10,972 crore and lay the foundation for 13 new projects worth ₹3,344 crore in Varanasi on Feb 23. The projects include the establishment of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited’s unit for Vande Bharat trains, a National Institute of Fashion Technology campus, a medical college, and a bio-medical waste disposal facility. Among the key projects is the Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata six-lane expressway, aimed at reducing travel time between Varanasi and Kolkata from 15 to 9 hours. The expressway is expected to boost industrial activities and reduce logistics costs.
