PM Modi ₹2,120 Cr 16 km Kanpur Metro Stretch Inaugurated

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Chunniganj to Kanpur Central section of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project, built at a cost of over ₹2,120 crore. This new 16 km stretch is part of Corridor-1, which spans 32.5 km and features 14 planned stations, including five newly built underground stations: Chunniganj, Naveen Market, Bada Chauraha, Nayaganj, and Kanpur Central. This extension integrates key city landmarks and commercial hubs, offering a faster and more convenient commute for thousands.
