PM Modi Highlights India's Leadership in Renewable Energy at G20

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, addressing the G20 session on Sustainable Development and Energy Transition, emphasized India’s leadership in green initiatives. He noted that the New Delhi G20 Summit resolved to triple renewable energy capacity and double energy efficiency by 2030.
India, the first G20 nation to meet its Paris commitments, has set a target of 500 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030, with 200 GW already achieved. PM Modi also highlighted global initiatives led by India, including the International Solar Alliance, Mission LiFE, and the Global Biofuel Alliance, to promote a sustainable and resilient future.
