PM Launches ₹13,000 Cr Transformational Projects in Varanasi
The road connectivity received a boost with the inauguration and foundation stone laying of several key projects, including the expansion of highways and construction of railway overbridges. Additionally, the Prime Minister launched the construction of the Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Expressway, which promises to enhance regional connectivity.
To bolster industrial development, initiatives such as the inauguration of an LPG Bottling Plant by HPCL and a milk processing unit in the UPSIDA Agro Park were undertaken. Furthermore, urban development projects, including waste management, water supply network upgrades, and beautification efforts, were inaugurated to enhance the city's livability.
In the realm of tourism and spiritual tourism, the Prime Minister inaugurated projects aimed at enhancing visitor experiences, including the redevelopment of public facilities and the introduction of eco-friendly electric catamaran vessels on the Ganges River.
Recognizing the significance of the textile sector, the foundation stone for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) was laid, promising to fortify the city's textile education infrastructure. Additionally, steps were taken to bolster healthcare and sports infrastructure with the inauguration of a new Medical College, the National Centre of Ageing at BHU, and sports facilities.
Prime Minister Modi's initiatives aim to transform Varanasi into a model city, fostering economic growth, improving quality of life, and preserving its cultural heritage for future generations.
