The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) in Pune has planned the construction of its new main office building in Pimpri at an investment of ₹250 crore. The civic body has a five-acre plot located about 500 metre away on Pimpri-Bhosari Road where it intends to construct a new main office structure as the standing committee recently approved a short-notice resolution for the construction of the new office building. The new structure will come up 3.5 acre remaining space. It will be a modern and well-equipped building, an official spokesperson, engineering department, PCMC, Shirish Poredi, said, elaborating that a huge chunk of open space surrounding the existing office building premises has been given to cater to the widening of highway.
