Part of Regional Ring Road in Telangana Declared National Highway
The Centre has granted approval for designating the southern segment of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) in Telangana as a national highway, following a request made by Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari during their meeting in Delhi. Gadkari promptly instructed NHAI officials to prepare proposals for this declaration. Additionally, CM Revanth Reddy appealed for permission to expand national highways in Telangana and upgrade key state highways to national highways. He presented a list of state roads requiring expansion and highlighted the importance of upgrading them to NH status for enhanced connectivity and infrastructure development in the state.
