Over 8,000 Projects Underway in India's Smart City Mission

The government has announced that more than 8,000 projects, totaling approximately Rs 1.6 lakh crore, are being developed under the ambitious 100 Smart Cities initiative. Launched on June 25, 2015, the Smart City Mission aims to provide core infrastructure, a clean and sustainable environment, and a high quality of life. The mission seeks to create dynamic urban spaces that cater to residents' needs and serve as models for other cities across India.
