Oriental Foundry Secures Rs 9.26 Cr Railway Order for High-Capacity Draft Gear

Oriental Foundry, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oriental Rail Infrastructure, has secured an order worth Rs 9.26 crore from the South East Central Railway for the manufacture and supply of draft gear for freight wagons.

As per the company’s release, the order includes the supply of 2,460 upgraded high-capacity draft gear units to be used in BOXNHL and BCNHL wagons. The advanced draft gear systems are designed to enhance wagon performance, improve shock absorption and support safer, more efficient freight operations.

The contract further strengthens Oriental Foundry’s position as a supplier of key components to Indian Railways’ expanding freight network.
