Odisha approves ₹9,100-cr infra investment

The Odisha government has approved six investment proposals worth ₹9,100.29 crore. In a recently held High Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy, two proposals worth ₹8,850.19 crore, and four other proposals of ₹251.09 crore were cleared. The proposal of Rungta Mines for expansion of Integrated Steel Plant project from 0.9 MTPA to 2.85 MTPA, with captive power plant of 385 MW and 1.69 MTPA cement plant (in two phases) at Jharbandh in the Dhenkanal district also got HLCA nod, where it plans to invest ₹7,836.90 crore. HLCA approved the proposal of Dhunseri Ventures for setting up Maleic Anhydride manufacturing unit with an annual capacity of 60,000 million tons at Paradeep in the Jagatsinghpur district with ₹1,013.29 crore investments. In another case, the proposal of Niren Kumar Anand, for setting up a footwear unit for producing one million pieces at an investment of ₹62.44 crore was approved. Also approved was the proposal of Kashvi International to set up a 1.2 MTPA iron ore beneficiation plant along with the 0.6 MTPA iron ore pelletization plant.
