NTPC Kahalgaon Inaugurates Bihar's First Cement-Free Geopolymer Road
NTPC Kahalgaon has inaugurated Bihar's first geopolymer road, a 2.9 km stretch constructed without cement. This pioneering project uses 2,000 MT of fly ash and ground granulated blast furnace slags (GGBS) from steel plants, combined with chemicals like sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate. The eco-friendly road reduces greenhouse gas emissions and promotes the sustainable use of industrial waste.
