NPG Reviews ₹19,421 Cr Infrastructure Projects

National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation
The Network Planning Group (NPG) has evaluated eight major infrastructure projects, including two from the Ministry of Railways and six from the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC), DPIIT.

The Ministry of Railways projects involve constructing a 160 km fourth broad gauge line from Manmad to Jalgaon in Maharashtra with an investment of ₹2,594 crores and a 130.5 km third and fourth broad gauge line from Bhusawal in Maharashtra to Burhanpur and Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh, costing ₹3,285 crores. Both are part of the Energy Mineral Cement Corridor program.

NICDC projects include developing Integrated Manufacturing Clusters in Agra and Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), Hisar (Haryana), and Gaya (Bihar) with an investment of ₹8,175 crores, and industrial areas in Oravakal (Kurnool district) and Kopparthy (YSR Kadapa district) in Andhra Pradesh, with an investment of ₹5,367 crores. These projects aim to attract industries, create jobs, and enhance socio-economic progress.

All projects were evaluated for their integrated planning and adherence to PM GatiShakti principles, focusing on socio-economic benefits, improved connectivity, reduced transit costs, and enhanced efficiency. These initiatives are expected to drive industrial growth, boost competitiveness, and contribute significantly to India's economic development.
