Noida International Airport Completion Delayed to April 2025

The Noida International Airport (NIA) will not be completed this year or in the first quarter of next year as initially planned. The mega project's timeline has been extended by at least six months. Officials attributed the delay to slow progress in constructing the terminal building, which is significantly behind schedule.

Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd (YIAPL), the concessionaire for the project, acknowledged the delay without specifying reasons. However, sources familiar with the matter cited challenges in procuring "special grade steel" necessary for the terminal's roof, due to a shortage in the international market.
