Noida fast-tracks ₹633-cr FNG expressway

The Noida authority has speeded up construction of the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway that remains incomplete within the authority's jurisdiction, general manager, Noida authority, KK Agarwal, said He informed that NHAI, which was earlier developing the project, has stepped down. The 43-km-long FNG Expressway will facilitate commuting from Faridabad to Ghaziabad via Noida with a length of 17-km falling in Noida. Now, the Noida authority has decided to develop its portion of the project‖ project. This was also confirmed by Director of NHAI, RP Singh. The Noida authority found that a portion of the stretch was incomplete in the Noida city area. This includes a 600 metre patch on the ground. On the FNG project route, the authority is developing a 5-km long elevated road from Sector 98 to Sector 143 at an investment of about ₹633 crore. Noida also needs to develop a bridge on the Yamuna in Mangroli village as the river is in the way of the project route. Besides this, a 250 m underpass is also needed at the Noida Greater Noida Expressway to facilitate the FNG Expressway.
