Noida announces ₹500 cr elevated road

The cityscape of Noida is all set to change with work on one of the three elevated roads at a cost of ₹500 crore which will help mitigate congestion on city’s roads. The road in question will be above the Dadri-Surajpur-Chhalera (DSC) Road, between sectors 41-49 crossing and Sector 82 and the construction work is all set to start shortly. The proposed 5.5 km elevated road will begin near Aghapur village in Sector 41 and go up to Sector 82 T-point for which tendering process is currently being finalized and work will begin shortly, general manager (civil), Noida Authority, Samakant Srivastava said, elaborating that the road will be completed in the next 36 months. Once operational, motorists travelling towards Barola in the Sector 49 area, Salarpur and Bhangel up to Sector 82 T-point will have a signal-free ride, thereby, easing the pressure of traffic in the area as it will be a six-lane stretch, with three lanes on each carriageway.
