NHSRCL invites final bids for BKC station in Mumbai

The Centre has decided to go ahead with construction of the underground bullet train terminal at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), despite opposition from the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) invited the final bids for the construction of BKC station by February 19. It will be the first station on the 508-km railway corridor between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
The underground BKC terminus is planned to have three floors. The first floor of the building will be for the station administration and storing equipment required for the operation of the bullet train. The second floor will comprise of a food court, shops and ticket counter, while the third floor will have six bullet train platforms.
