The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has recently awarded the contract for four-laning of the Lucknow-Sultanpur section of National Highway-56 in Uttar Pradesh involving an investment of Rs 2,845cr, said official sources, claiming that the nodal agency issued the Letter of Award (LOA) for development of the Lucknow-Sultanpur section of NH-56 in Uttar Pradesh, under the National Highways Development Project Phase-IV program. The project shall be executed on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) and completed in 30 months from the date of commencement of the construction work of the project.
