NHAI unveils multiple road projects in TN

Road Projects in Tamil Nadu
The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has directed the state's wing of the Roads and Buildings Department to speed up the mandatory works to enable the National Road Building Agency to go ahead with the targeted road projects in the Machilipatnam area, under the Sagarmala program of the central government. These projects in turn will help the state government's immediate plans to develop deep sea port and expansion of the national highway between Machilipatnam and Vijayawada, said NHAI sources, adding that the projects included building of a bypass road at Sultangar that connects it to the National Highway-216, double-lane between Rajupeta and Javvarupeta and dividers between three-pillar centre to Koneru Centre in the town. Completion of the proposed listed road projects in the Krishna district headquarters will depend on how early the engineers complete the tender process, apart from obtaining administrative sanctions from the concerned local authorities.
