The NHAI has recently fast tracked the 600 km long Delhi-Katra expressway project with the appointment of consultant for preparing a detailed project report for the mega national highway project. The expressway will directly connect Delhi with Katra in Jammu and Kashmir via Amritsar, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Mansukh L Mandaviya said, elaborating that the government of India has approved the expressway under Bharatmala Pariyojna Phase 1. The consultant has been given 10 months to prepare the report after which tender will be floated to start the construction work by the winning bidder.
