NHAI Awards Rs 368.85 Cr Contract for 15 km Azamgarh South–East Bypass in Uttar Pradesh

The bypass will commence near Rani Ki Sarai village and terminate near the Purvanchal Expressway, forming a key link in the regional road network and completing a ring road around Azamgarh city.
The project scope includes the construction of one flyover, one road overbridge (RoB), two interchanges, two vehicular underpasses (VUPs), eight light vehicular underpasses (LVUPs), three minor bridges, along with 11.6 km of service roads and additional stretches on both sides, and a 7.5 km long slip road.
Once completed, the bypass is expected to decongest urban traffic in Azamgarh, improve regional connectivity, and enable faster and safer movement of vehicles while supporting economic growth in the region.
