NHAI

In a significant move to boost road safety, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has approved a ₹150 crore upgrade for the Lucknow-Kanpur highway. The project focuses on improving five high-risk accident zones, Nawabganj, Dahi Chowki, Tribhuvan Kheda, Asha Kheda, and Chamrauli, which have reported over 50 serious accidents in the last three years, as per an NHAI safety survey.

Key upgrades include the construction of three new flyovers, each approximately 700 metres long, at Nawabganj, Dahi Chowki, and Tribhuvan Kheda, aimed at easing traffic flow and reducing accidents on this busy corridor.
