NBCC secures Rs.131 cr contracts

While adding to its existing project portfolio of Rs.630 crore contracts it won in June, the National Buildings Construction Corp (NBCC) recently secured a total business contract of about Rs.131 crore July this year. The construction company is also planning to take up projects to redevelop old government colonies in Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra, Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh, sources said. The NBCC, which is currently constructing colonies in Sarojini Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Nauroji Nagar in New Delhi under the general pool residential accommodation (GPRA), also developing a similar Rs.5,298 crore GPRA project in East Kidwai Nagar, with the project scheduled to be completed by December 2018. It is also in the process to develop a 240-acre greenfield city with smart city features at Ghitorni in the national capital, with an estimated to cost over Rs.15,000 crore, in association with the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).
