NBCC in JV to build 13-acre complex in Visakhapatnam
The National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC) and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) have planned to build a commercial plaza and a residential complex on an area spreading across 13.59 acres in Visakhapatnam. The state government has also decided to build projects in the Amaravati Metropolitan Region Development Authority (AMEDA) comprising the expansion of Karakatta road, which is considered crucial for the development of the region. It also directed the officials to take up and complete the expansion project as quickly as possible. Stressing the need to develop all the roads connecting the Karakatta Road for ₹150 crore, the state CM has directed the officials concerned to expedite the construction of linking of seed access roads to the main road and called upon them to focus on completion of the Happy Nest project and other buildings under construction in the limits of AMRDA. The NBCC and APIIC have targeted to amass ₹1,450 crore from the commercial plaza and the residential complex in Visakhapatnam.
