Nagpur Smart City Projects to be Transferred to NMC

The Maharashtra government has directed the Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL) to transfer all its projects and assets to Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) by March 31, marking the conclusion of the Smart City Mission.
NSSCDCL, established for the project, received ₹741.63 crore from the central government. The initiative included the ₹524 crore Smart and Safe City Project, which introduced 17 smart solutions, and a ₹741.62 crore area-based development plan, transforming 1,743 acres across Pardi, Bharatwada, Bhandewadi, and Punapur in east Nagpur.
