Nagpur Metro Phase 2 Extension to Kanhan Awaits State Approval

The proposed 1.3-km extension of Nagpur Metro’s Phase 2 on the Kamptee stretch has been forwarded to the state government for final approval, having received all necessary internal clearances.
Estimated at ₹300 crore, the extension will take the Metro from its current terminus to Kanhan village and includes the construction of a 500-metre-long steel bridge over the Kanhan River.
Following state approval, the proposal will be sent to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) for central clearance. On-ground work will commence only after final approval from the Centre.
