Mumbai gets ₹1,500-cr multi-storied Bridge

Multi Storied Bridge
In an attempt to provide direct connectivity to western and eastern suburbs of the metropolitan city, the nodal agencies are contemplating to construct a skyscraper bridge as tall as a 10-storey building, which is likely to come up between Worli and Sewri areas. The 4.5km-long, 32m-high bridge will connect the Bandra-Worli Sea Link to the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) in Sewri, and will run above the existing flyovers and monorail line. The ambitious project, to be built at an estimated cost of ₹1,500 crore, will involve five authorities—Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), and Mumbai Port Trust. As per the plan, the elevated corridor will begin at Sewri interchange on MTHL, run along the Acharya Donde Road in Parel, Jagannath Bhatankar Road in Elphinstone, Drainage Channel Road and Narayan Hardikar Road in Prabhadevi, then turn towards Century Bhavan and land near Sacred Heart Convent School in Worli. Between Senapati Bapat Road and BR Ambedkar Road, it'll be a double-decker corridor that will run above two flyovers and the Elphinstone Road over bridge.
