MoRTH releases ₹1,455-cr for NH-21 project in HP

The Central government has released funds worth ₹1455.73 crore for completion of the four-laning of Kiratpur to Nerchowk National Highway (NH). Once completed, it will facilitate people of the state to travel from remote areas of the state to Chandigarh and other major areas of the country at a faster pace. NHAI has tendered the remaining work on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) and the company constructing it will also maintain it for 15 years. Work on 29 km has already been awarded and is under progress and the Government has entrusted it to NHAI the development, maintenance and management of National Highway 21 on design, build, operate and transfer basis.
