MoRTH approves ₹215-cr road projects in Pune

Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari gave the go ahead to NHAI to build the ₹135-crore multi-level flyover at Katraj junction in Pune city. He also laid the foundation stone of a ₹80-crore road widening and reconstruction project of the 3.88-km stretch of the national highway starting from Navale bridge in Vadgaon Budhruk to Katraj junction. The Pune Municipal Corporation has allotted the required land at Katraj for the flyover. The road widening work from Navale bridge to Katraj junction includes construction of a six-lane road, which will also have a service road, one underpass for all vehicles, one for light vehicles, two pedestrian underpasses. The entire work is slated to be completed within 18 months.
