Mollo Noleggio Becomes 1st Italian Rental-Only Firm to Enter IRN 100 Global Ranking

Mollo Noleggio has made a historic entry into the IRN 100, the prestigious global ranking of the top 100 equipment rental companies by turnover, published annually by International Rental News—the official magazine of the European Rental Association (ERA).

1st Italian Rental-Only Firm

With a 2024 turnover exceeding €150 million, generated entirely from rental operations, Mollo Noleggio becomes the first Italian rental-only company to be featured in the IRN 100 list. The ranking highlights companies involved in the rental of vehicles and equipment for the construction, industrial, and events sectors.

At the European level, Mollo Noleggio is now ranked among the top 20 rental-only operators, reaffirming its position as a key player in the continent’s rental landscape. This milestone not only marks a significant achievement for the Alba-based firm, but also represents a major breakthrough for Italy’s national rental sector on the global stage.

The IRN - International Rental News ranking is a regular appointment that, every year, photographs the state of the art of the rental market, presenting the hundred names that, in terms of turnover, have recorded the best results worldwide.

In recent years, Mollo Noleggio had already appeared among the so-called "near misses", the companies that had come close to entering the top 100, thus distinguishing themselves for their excellent performance despite not entering the top 100 positions. Today, however, the continuous growth of the group has allowed it to make the definitive leap into the international protagonists of the sector.

"Being among the names in the IRN 100 ranking is a source of pride for Mollo Noleggio," says Mauro Mollo, President of the Group. "This achievement rewards our work, customer focus, quality of service, investments made, technological innovation and above all the commitment of our employees."

Founded in 1971 in Alba and led by brothers Mauro and Roberto Mollo, the company is today the most important Italian operator in the rental of machinery and equipment for construction, industry, logistics, agriculture and events. A business model built on over fifty years of experience, which puts the customer at the centre and guarantees flexible, timely and tailor-made solutions.

Rankings aside, Mollo Noleggio continues to grow and invest in the future. The company boasts the largest rental fleet in Italy, with more than 18,000 units available, including aerial platforms, telehandlers, mini cranes and truck cranes, construction cranes, commercial vehicles, earth moving machinery, generators and towers, construction machinery and equipment, monoblocks, containers, and portable toilets.

And if in 2024 it had more than 600 employees, 65 active rental centres, 105,000 rental contracts and a turnover of more than 150 million euros, the company is aiming to exceed 170 million euros in turnover in 2025, also continuing with new acquisitions.

With a €120 million 2025-2026 investment plan and a territorial development plan that aims to increase the number of active rental centres to 73 by the end of 2025, Mollo Noleggio confirms its strategic vision and the central role it wants to continue to play in the national and international rental scene.
