MMRDA unveils Rs. 3,600-cr Mira-Road-Bhayander metro corridor

The bidding process for the construction of a Metro corridor in Mira-Road and Bhayander connecting with Dahisar is all set to start very shortly. The 9-km-long Dahisar check-naka Bhayander Metro corridor known as Metro-10 is being constructed by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) at an estimated cost of Rs 3,600 crore, official sources said, adding that the nodal agency has already started the bidding process for appointing a project management consultant for the Metro-10 corridor and the bidding process for the civil construction will also start after the detailed project report (DPR) is approved by the MMRDA followed by the state cabinet in the next few months. There are plans to interconnect this Metro with two Metro lines namely the Dahisar East- Andheri East Metro-7 corridor and Dahisar- DN Nagar Metro-2A corridor somewhere at the Western Express Highway (WEH) near Dahisar check-naka, they added.
