Ministry of Steel Invites AI Startups at India AI Impact Summit 2026 to Transform Steel Sector

Ministry of steel at AI Summit
The Ministry of Steel, along with its CPSEs, is participating in the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi and has set up a dedicated stall to present key problem statements from the mining and steel sectors. The initiative aims to encourage AI startups and innovators to develop practical solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, sustainability and safety across the steel value chain.

The programme aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of leveraging artificial intelligence for industrial transformation and innovation-led growth. Through the summit, the ministry seeks to build partnerships between industry stakeholders and technology enterprises to address real operational challenges in the sector.

As part of the event, the Steel Secretary and CMDs of CPSEs including Steel Authority of India Limited and NMDC Limited will hold an interactive session with AI startups on 18 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The ministry has invited innovators to present AI-based solutions and collaborate in advancing a technologically driven and self-reliant steel industry.
