Western Railway invites bids for ₹249.93-cr gauge conversion project in Vadodara

Western Railway has invited bids for the gauge conversion of the Samni-Jambusar section of the Vadodara Division on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. The project, with a budget of ₹249.93 crore, includes a range of civil engineering work such as earthwork, minor and major bridge construction, road under and over bridges, track linking, station building, platforms, cover sheds, foot over bridges, service buildings, staff quarters, circulating areas, watering and sanitation.

The project covers a length of 24.08 km and has a completion period of 26 months. It is expected to improve transportation and infrastructure in the area.
