UPMRC initiates underground third rail system for Agra Metro
Following the completion of the elevated section, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has commenced work on the underground portion of the Agra Metro's Third Rail System. The innovative technology eliminates overhead equipment, enhancing power supply reliability and protection from external elements. Operating on 750 volts of DC current, the system ensures seamless and efficient functioning, offering commuters a world-class urban transport experience. Notably, the Third Rail System minimizes disruptions caused by factors like kites and birds, contributing to the enhanced efficiency and aesthetic integration of the Agra Metro network with the city's skyline.
