TATA-CMRL inks Rs. 1817.54-cr underground stations pact

metro project contracts with CMRL
TATA Projects has signed Rs. 1817.54 crore metro project contracts with CMRL to build five underground stations in Corridor-05 of Chennai Metro Phase 02. In this connection, the company has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA). The project involves the construction of 5 underground stations-Kolathur Junction Metro, Srinivasa Nagar Metro, Villivakkam Metro, Villivakkam Bus Terminus Metro and Villivakkam MTH Road Metro. It also entails Twin Bore Tunnels from Kolathur Junction Retrieval Shaft to Villivakkam MTH Road, launching shaft, and Ramps with U – Section in Corridor-5 of CMRL Phase II project. CMRL achieves 100% completion of the award of civil and track contracts for this phase of the corridor, comprising a 116.1 km metro network in three corridors.
