Patna Metro starts work on underground stretch in Bihar
The contractor of the Patna Metro in Bihar has recently launched the construction work of the underground section of the Patna Metro Rail Project involving an investment of ₹19,500 crore. The foundation stone of the 31 km long project with 26 metro stations was laid by the Prime Minister on February 17, 2019. The first line of the metro rail will connect Danapur to Mithapur-KhemniChak and the second will link Patna Railway Station-Pataliputra Bus Terminal. Once commissioned, it will not just check traffic congestion but also benefit over a million passengers travelling to various parts of the state capital, said an official spokesperson.
