LKT Engineering Wins Design Consultancy Contract for Pune Metro
Maha Metro has awarded the Design Consultancy Contract for the Pune Metro Purple Line's 4.519 km PCMC-Nigdi extension to LKT Engineering. The contract, issued under Package DDC-01, covers Detailed Design Consultancy services for three elevated stations—Chinchwad, Akurdi, and Nigdi—excluding the viaduct in station portions on the PCMC to Nigdi corridor of the Pune Metro Rail Project. The Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs had previously approved the 4.413 km extension of the Pune metro's Purple line at a cost of Rs 910.18 crore, with elevated stations at Chinchwad, Akurdi, and Nigdi. The project received PIB sanction in September 2023 after Maharashtra Government approval in February 2021.
