Kerala Rail Development Corporation has submitted a revised estimate of ₹3,421 crore to the Railways for undertaking the Angamaly-Sabari railway line. The new estimate is ₹600 crore more than the previous one. KRDCL, the implementing agency for the project, has submitted the proposal to the southern railway headquarters, after getting the estimates vetted by the finance department. The state has also requested the Railways to reinitiate the land acquisition process, which was kept in abeyance.
