Karnataka plans Bengaluru-Mangaluru high speed rail corridor
The Karnataka government is in initial talks for a high-speed rail connecting Bengaluru and Mangaluru. Minister Dinesh Gundu reveals plans for an Integrated greenfield High-Speed Corridor, aiming to boost development in Mangaluru and nearby cities. The proposed six to eight-lane corridor could attract investments and foster prosperity in commerce and industry, especially benefiting the New Mangalore Port. Detailed discussions are pending, focusing on sustainable development and the need for private partnerships to realize this transformative project.
