CMRL to build 23 multi-modal transit hubs in Chennai metro phase 2
Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) plans to construct multi-modal transit hubs at 23 locations along the 116.1 km long Chennai Metro Phase 02. These hubs will facilitate seamless interchange with existing transit facilities, including Suburban and MRTS trains, MTC buses, and Metrorail Phase:01 lines. The project, part of Chennai Metro Phase 2, will be developed in stages from 2025 to 2028. Corridor 3 (45.4 km) will have nine hubs, with integration points at Thiruvanmiyur and Thirumayilai for MRTS, and Mandaveli and Madhavaram for Bus depots.
