BMRCL
BMRCL has hastened the construction work on the Kempegowda International Airport metro line involving ₹14,788 crore investments. Land acquisition process is almost complete, helping the contractor to fast-track construction work on the 5-7 km long track from Central Silk Board to the airport housing 30 stations. Work between Hebbal and KR Puram has been delayed a bit due to translocation of trees.

The Hebbal Station, which will be an interchange in the future, may see a footfall of 60,897 passengers daily and KR Puram, another interchange station, is expected to see 51,983 commuters, Nagawara 50,470, KIA Terminal 48,113, Yelahanka 30,647, Kempapura 24,013, and Kodigehalli 20,288. According to the revised plan of Shettigere Depot, an additional area of 12,576.619 sq m is still required for which BMRCL is exploring alternative arrangements. The airport line is expected to be completed by December 2024.
