MEIL to Invest ₹21,000 Crore in Two Pumped Storage Hydro Projects in Maharashtra
Megha Engineering & Infrastructures (MEIL) will invest ₹21,000 crore to develop two pumped storage hydro projects in Maharashtra with a combined capacity of 4,000 MW. The company signed an MoU with the Maharashtra Water Resources Department in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The projects include the Kamod pumped storage project in Nandurbar and the Ghosla pumped storage project in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, both to be executed under the build-operate-maintain (BOM) mode. The projects are expected to generate around 2,500 jobs.
