Megha Engineering Wins Rs 228.81 Cr Odisha Contract for Six Lift Irrigation Schemes
Megha Engineering & Infrastructures has secured a Rs 228.81 crore contract from the Water Resources Department (WRD), Odisha, to execute six lift irrigation schemes (LIS) in Sambalpur district. The EPC-turnkey project includes intake points on the Hirakud Reservoir and the Bheden river, along with full integration of power systems. Each scheme will serve a command area of 500 to 2,000 hectares, covering a total cultivable command area of 8,507 hectares. The scope also includes developing the distribution network up to the one-hectare chak level, enabling improved irrigation access across Cluster XXVI.
