Maxim Crane Works Orders 1st Tadano CC 78.1250-1 Lattice Boom Crawler Crane
Maxim Crane Works, one of the largest crane rental companies in North America, has placed an order for the very first Tadano CC 78.1250-1, the latest addition to Tadano’s lattice boom crawler crane lineup. This brand-new model made its global debut at bauma 2025, where it was unveiled to the world for the first time. Following its highly anticipated introduction, Maxim Crane Works secured the first unit, marking a major milestone for both companies. The official signing ceremony took place on Tuesday, April 8, at the Tadano booth during the event.
This new-generation 1,375-ton (1,250-tonne) capacity lattice boom crawler crane builds on the legacy of its predecessor, the CC 68.1250-1, with enhancements in lifting performance, transportability, and operational efficiency.
Advancing Performance and Versatility
The CC 78.1250-1 is engineered to meet the evolving demands of the heavy lifting industry, particularly in sectors such as wind energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects. With a maximum hook height of 736 feet (224.5 meters) when equipped with a 49-foot (15-meter) fixed jib, the crane can lift an impressive 154 tons (140 tonnes) in this configuration. A widened base structure of 11.5 feet (3.5 meters) and two available crawler shoe widths of 6.6 feet (2.0 meters) and 7.9 feet (2.4 meters) provide enhanced stability and adaptability to various ground conditions.
